The Christmas Channel is On The Air at WLSCRadio.com

Loris, SC, November 12, 2008 - On Saturday, November 1, 2008 WLSCRadio.com fired up The Christmas Channel. The first song to play was Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley. WLSC owner Banana Jack Murphy says, "When you're a small town radio station, you occasionally have to shake things up a little bit. As far as I know, WLSC is the first radio station in the area to play Christmas music."

WLSC AM 1240 which is located at the busy intersection of Main Street and Broad Street in downtown Loris appears to be ready for Santa. In addition to playing Christmas music, the station is already decorated for the holidays. "Folks driving through town were giving me strange looks as they saw me decorating a Christmas tree on the day after Halloween." says Murphy. He adds, "Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I just couldn't wait any longer. Some folks are saying this might be a rotten Christmas because of the economy. I say Bah-Humbug! to that. If we can get a few more folks in the spirit a little earlier this year then who knows what might happen. I'm an eternal optimist."

For now, when you listen to AM 1240 WLSC you'll have to settle for an occasional holiday song, but it's non-stop Christmas on the station's website, www.WLSCRadio.com. Banana Jack says, "We give visitors to our website the option of listening to our regular programming on Channel One or they can get a head start on the holidays with our sceond audio channel, The Christmas Channel. It's non-stop Christmas 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." As it get closer to Christmas, Murphy says WLSC will broadcast even more holiday music. In addition to holiday music, WLSC and The Christmas Channel will feature holidays specials and old radio shows with a Christmas theme. Some of the old radio shows include Jack Benny, Burns and Allen, Duffy's Tavern and Dragnet.

Folks visiting the stations website, www.WLSCRadio.com will also find there's a lot more to do at The Christmas Channel than just listen to Christmas carols. One unique feature is the Santa Fone. Children are able to talk to Santa by clicking on the Santa Fone. Murphy is really excited about this feature on the website and proudly declares, "My 3 year old son inspired me to create Santa Fone. He's been asking me for months, over and over, when Santa Claus was coming. After awhile, I told him, I'm going to have to get Santa to call you himself....Hey, wait a second. Who wouldn't want to get a phone call from Santa Claus? So, the next thing you know, we got the ball rolling and created Santa Fone.com." Children will also be able to track Santa as he prepares for his journey on Christmas Eve. You can even see what the weather is like at the North Pole and at Santa Claus, Indiana too. Visitors can also check the holiday calendar for parades, concerts and other events. The website even features holiday stories, recipes and more.

Banana Jack adds, "If you're not in the Christmas spirit now you will be after visiting the Christmas Channel. If you need a little Ho! Ho! Ho! then Go! Go! Go! to WLSCRadio.com and visit The Christmas Channel."

WLSC AM 1240 and WLSCRadio.com are owned and operated by Banana Jack Murphy Productions LLC, which was formed in 2007 by broadcast personality Banana Jack and his wife Barb Krumm.
