WLSC Tiger Radio is Now Available On Any Mobile Phone

New partnership with AudioNow allows listeners to hear broadcasts on cell phones at no charge

Loris - WLSC Tiger Radio announced today that it is now the first radio station in the Myrtle Beach area available through any cell phone through a partnership with AudioNow for mobile phone broadcast distribution. By calling 843-733-3153, mobile phone listeners can listen live to their favorite Tiger Radio programs. No smart phones, downloads, or data plans are required, and any cell phone will work.

“I’m really excited for WLSC AM 1240 to partner with AudioNow and provide this service to our listeners,” said Banana Jack Murphy, Tiger Radio's general manager. “Now listeners can hear us anytime, anywhere and on any phone.”

“Listening to radio on mobile phones needs to be as simple and reliable as turning on a radio, and that is what distinguishes our technology from the rest of the industry,” said Elan Blutinger, a managing director of AudioNowTM. “Why download radio when you can dial it direct?"
AudioNow is the leading provider of mobile phone broadcast radio distribution in the country. It uses proprietary, patent-pending technology that allows any fixed or mobile phone to access live audio programming without any downloads.

WLSC AM 1240 signed on in 1958. Banana Jack Murphy Productions LLC purchased the station in 2007. In October 2009, the station switched from country to an all oldies format and became Tiger Radio. The station has studios in Loris and Myrtle Beach. The 24 hour AM station is the home of The Banana Jack Murphy Show. The station also features syndicated programs like Dick Clark's Rock, Roll and Remember, Rock and Roll's Greatest Hits with Dick Bartley, Elvis Only hosted by Jay Gordon and a variety of local sports programming.
